BBC Last choir standing
Saturday 9th August 2008: Queen Victoria Square, Hull
On a very wet day, we performed as part of the BBC's Last Choir Standing workshop in Hull. Despite the downpours, there was a fair sized audience. Watch the videos and read the review on the BBC's website here or look at photos here.
Leeds Pride 2008
On Sunday 3rd August we were proud to open proceedings for the 3rd Leeds Pride with a set of 3 songs on the stage in Millennium Stage. We're not entirely sure anybody heard us - since we never got to sound check - but we thought we sounded pretty good! There are some photos here.
I ♥ gay abandon
For our 10th anniversary concert, we launched our most ambitious programme to date, with 21 songs taken from the last decade to celebrate our birthday. We also took the opportunity to launch our first official cd. There's a full review here and photos here.
A Winter Concert
On Monday 17th December 2007 we were one of nine choirs performing in aid of St Gemma's Hospice in A Winter Concert.
Words at War
On Sunday 24th November 2007 we performed at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, where we performed in an amazing space, and were well received, even if the audience numbers were a little disappointing.
Raise your banners
On 10th November 2007 we performed in Bradford as part of the Raise Your Banners festival, a festival of political song.
Leeds Pride 2.007
For Leeds' second pride, we were delighted to perform in Millennium Square to launch the pride parade. Next year, how about a float and a sound system then we can sing our way round Leeds?
Summer concert
In summer 2007 we went all classical, and abandoned dancing queen in favour of something a bit more sophisticated. Class Act is reviewed here.
2006 reviewed
2006 was our busiest year so far - with a long series of concerts around LGBT history month on top of our usualy commitments. Read all about it here.
